Out dated parliament memebers are using their own affairs in Majlis floor. The endorsement by the People’s Majlis on Sunday to provide a pension to members completing 2 terms is a big injustice to the Maldivian people, including all the civil servants. More than this some of the parliament members were trying to make this pension of half salary for those who completes one term service. This shows SINCERITY of Majlis memeber to the people of Maldives. Yes they are totally corrupted.
It is so sad that the new government is also trying to spend more on political appointees by increasing their salary and other allowances, rather than providing basic facilities and services to these poor people in the country. Appointment of atoll and island councilors and providing them with big salaries is proof that the budget will never be balanced, even though they reduce the overtime of civil service staff to 10 percent.
I call on the Majlis to reduce member’s salaries to half of the current salary, and I call people of this nation to select religious, good, educated, uncorrupted, and capable ,members to the Majlis in the forth coming majlis election.

They make their own salary to a sky high figure of 60000. Its OK, it is to give money to the poor.Good
They said everything they came to their mind when teachers protested. Its OK, it is to protect our students. Good.
So sad, these member say no one is above the law. But they are above the very simple law that we are all humans. They work for 10 years and get 30,000. We work for 20 years and get 3000.
